It was an honor to represent Armenia along with Ara Dinkjian for the 92nd St Y's Musical Introduction Series this winter. Being a part of world music education in New York has been a privilege and a pleasure!

Zulal was thrilled to open for the New York Philharmonic's Concerts in the Park in June of 2017. After our piece This House of Mine has been selected for honorable mention in the NY Philharmonic's New World Composition Challenge.

Zulal had a blast being part of Carnegie Hall's Musical Explorer's Program in Spring 2017, bringing Armenian folk music to thousands of elementary school students. We love the idea of pairing music from different cultures in one program to give children the direct message that music distinguishes us but also helps us find ways of speaking to one another.
